Research Laboratory

Laboratory of Physical Organometallic Chemistry (head: assoc. prof. Dr. Tibor Pasinszki)

Research at a glance

  • Synthetic organometallic chemistry: preparations of main group and transition metal-organic compounds using inert atmosphere techniques
  • Photoelectron spectroscopy (PES): instrument development, investigation of the electronic structure of organometallic compounds, gas phase reactions, in situ measurement of transient species, investigation of the relationship between catalytic activity and the PES of organometallic catalyzers
  • MO-CVD: Metal-organic chemical vapor deposition of hard coatings (SiC, ZrB2, CrxCy etc.) in thermal reactors from organometallic precursors
